Happy New Year!
Here are some samples from a new project I am working on. I'm working with more texture and a little painted look with cartoon style characters - Its the Ultimate Mix! The two landscapes don't have the character in them yet, but they can stand alone as pieces too.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year's tonight. See you in 2010...or tomorrow...he he!

Bilingual Books teaching English and Spanish - CREZCA! or GROW!
For a long time now, I have been working on 12 Bilingual books for Northern Speech Services. They are 10 page books written by Ana Paula Mumy that teach 4 different reading levels of both English and Spanish.
Below are some of my favorite pages from these books. You can pre-order the set of 12 now at www.nss-nrs.com

Friendship Friends!
Here are a couple characters and illustrations I have been working on recently. I am looking to create a fun world of Super Happy Heros and Villains...when I have more time. They are all lovable and cuddly of course...Collect them all! More to come...
Cartoon Family
This is an illustration I did for a friend and his family. I was able to practice outlining and coloring in vector and working with textures. Here you can see the sketch and then the final illustration. "Big smiles everyone!"
Agent Alex is here!
Agent Alex
I illustrated a young reader book this year by Rubicon/Oxford Press called Agent Alex. This book works with teacher curriculum and lesson plans and motivates kids to interact and respond to the story.
This was a fun project because it was the first time I did all the sketches, line work, and coloring on the computer! It allowed me to try a different style and method of working.
You can click on Agent Alex above if you would like to order copies!
Below are a couple of my favorite panels from the comic book. I tried to work with a color theme and lighting to set the mood for the young detectives.
